Teacher Payout Policy

You are paid monthly for the classes you complete, at the rates per completed session in your offer letter, by bank transfer.
1. What counts as a completed (payable) class

A class counts as completed once MakRew has checked that it took place: Google Meet shows you and the learner together for 40 minutes or more, or you were in the room 15 minutes or more and the learner never joined (a learner no-show). If Meet can't tell, you and the learner are asked whether it happened; if you disagree, or don't answer within 48 hours, MakRew decides. Until then it shows as being checked and is in your expected payout, not your payout so far.
2. Payout cycle
- Cycle: classes completed from the 1st to the last day of the calendar month.
- Your figures: your dashboard Home shows the classes completed this month, your rate and your expected payout. MakRew checks them before paying.
- Payment: in the first week of the following month, by bank transfer to the account you gave MakRew.
3. How your payout is calculated
Payout = completed first 1:1 sessions × your first-session rate + completed plan classes × your session plan rate + completed group classes × your group class rate, in the currency agreed with you, less any TDS. If MakRew hasn't set your rate for a type yet, your dashboard shows those classes as "rate to be confirmed", and they're paid once it's set.
Example: 2 first 1:1 sessions at ₹[300] + 30 plan classes at ₹[500] + 8 group classes at ₹[400] = ₹18,800 before TDS.
4. Taxes
- MakRew deducts TDS at the rate that applies under the Income-tax law and deposits it against your PAN. Without a valid PAN, a higher rate applies.
- GST-registered teachers send a monthly tax invoice; GST is paid on top of the fee.
5. Holds and recoveries
- A payout may be held during a serious conduct or child-safety investigation, and released if the concern is not upheld.
- Refunds caused by a proven teacher fault (for example, repeated no-shows) may be recovered from the next payout.
6. Bank details and changes
Send your bank details, and any change to them, to career@makrew.live at least 5 days before the payout date. Changes take effect from the next cycle.
7. Disputes
Email career@makrew.live with the class dates. We reply within 3 working days and pay any correction in the same or the next cycle.
8. Final payout
When the engagement ends, fees for completed classes are paid on the next regular payout date, after any lawful deductions.
